Obama traded Iraqi oil for China’s Iran sanctions vote at UN

ANKARA June 12-14, 2010 – (Special Dispatch) In what may not come as welcome news for those who believe American soldiers were sent to invade Iraq in order to secure Iraq’s oil for the United States, there is even worse news from the Turkish capital.
According to knowledgeable Turkish sources, the United States promised China that it would receive oil from Iraq that would replace any oil it currently imports from Iran in exchange for China not casting a veto on the Iran sanctions resolution recently passed by the UN Security Council.
As for Russia, the United States agreed to allow Russia to continue to export defensive military systems like the S-300 anti-aircraft radar system to Iran and not place Russian companies that continue to trade with Iran on a blacklist.
Turkey’s “no” vote on the resolution is being castigated by the neo-con and Jewish-dominated media outlets in the United States. However, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who could have counted on “no” votes from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lebanon, urged them to cast votes different from those of Turkey and Brazil. Therefore, Bosnia and Herzegovina voted “yes” and Lebanon abstained — both votes felt by Turkey to be in the interest of ensuring political stability in the Balkans and Lebanon, respectively.
Even with Turkish-Israeli relations being at an all-time low due to the Gaza situation, Turkey did not raise any objections to Israel being admitted to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Turkey, a member of the OECD, did not veto Israel’s membership even though Israel is in violation of OECD standards on human rights and a nexus for international money laundering and harboring criminal financial gangsters wanted for crimes outside of Israel, Ankara felt compelled to back Israel’s membership in an attempt to cool things down between Israel and Turkey. Turkey’s gesture, however, was met with the Israeli commando attack on the Turkish vessel MV Mavi Marmara and the execution of nine Turkish nationals, including a 19-year old dual Turkish-American citizen.
There are also indications that Turkey’s “no” vote came after Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed President Obama that Turkey would cast such a vote in order to keep diplomatic channels open with Iran. Wayne Madsen reported that he has learnt that Obama gave his approval to Turkey’s vote in order to preserve an American back channel to Tehran via Ankara.
